Halloween Safety Tips

Stay in well lit areas and sidewalks.

Cross the street at corners and look both ways before crossing.

Wear light-colored clothing (if possible).

Carry a flashlight with fresh batteries to light your way.

Never go into a stranger's house.

Have a parent inspect your treats before eating, but don't let them take all the good candy.

don't eat candy that is not wrapped.

The local mall here hosts Halloween inside its building, giving another safe option as well.

I agree with 90% of your tips except the part about inspecting and taking all the good stuff. My kids are older now but every Halloween the CLUE! mystery of the Reese's peanut butter cups was never solved. It was the Father in the pantry with the flashlight.
