Rotary is a worldwide organization of business and professional leaders that provides humanitarian service, encourages high ethical standards in all vocations, and helps build goodwill and peace in the world. Approximately 1.2 million Rotarians belong to more than 32,000 clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas.

Some facts on The Rotary Club of Carolina Forest Sunrise:

The Carolina Forest Sunrise Rotary Club was chartered April 4, 2003. It was sponsored by the Conway Rotary Club of Conway, South Carolina. Currently has around 30 members.

Since the club's inception, "many" dollars have been distributed by grant or charitable contribution to agencies that serve the citizens of Horry county, South Carolina.  Additionally, the club is active in supporting worldwide disaster relief, "Polio Plus" and ongoing international water projects worldwide.

Club fellowship provides a variety of interests and events that members from all backgrounds can support and enjoy!

Weekly breakfast meetings are held Wednesday's at 7am at the Ailsa Pub @ Legends Golf Resort in the Carolina Forest area of Myrtle Beach. Programs include local and national speakers.

Hi Amy, thank you for the intro to your Rotary Club.  You seem like a fairly "young" club.  What kind of fundraisers do you do?

We have been mostly doing raffles and a yearly garage sale.  We are planning on doing a charity golf tournament soon though since Myrtle Beach is GOLF, GOLF,GOLF... What has been your clubs best fundraiser?
